1. General Rules
- Registration
is mandatory to become a library member before using resources.
- Students
must carry and present their Library Card/College ID (non-transferable).
- Sign
the Gate
Register at entry and exit.
- Maintain
silence, discipline, and decorum inside the library.
- Keep
mobile phones on silent
mode.
- Deposit
belongings at the Property
Counter; only notebooks, blank sheets,
and pens are allowed inside.
- Return
used books at the Return
Counter, not on tables.
- Read
newspapers, magazines, and journals only in designated areas.
- Do
not disturb or rearrange furniture.
- Maintain
cleanliness inside the library.
- Writing/marking
on furniture is prohibited.
- Eating,
smoking, pan chewing, and spitting are not allowed.
- Misbehavior
with staff or indecent conduct may lead to suspension.
- Seek
assistance from library staff whenever required.
- Suggestions
for improving services are welcome.
2. Circulation Rules
- Reference materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, journals, project
reports, handbooks, etc.) are for consultation only. With special
permission, they may be issued overnight.
- Return
all borrowed materials on or before the due date. Absence is not a valid
excuse.
- A
fine will be charged for overdue books as per policy.
- Borrowing
on behalf of others or transferring issued books is not allowed.
- Damaging
or underlining library materials will result in replacement fines.
- Users
may reserve books at the circulation desk.
- Do
not take materials outside unless properly issued by staff.
- All
items must be returned once a year for physical verification, regardless
of issue date.
3. Digital Library Rules
- Computers
are strictly for academic
use only.
- Register
your name
and computer number in
the log book.
- Maximum
usage per person is 1.5 hours.
- Carry
your College
ID/Library Card while using digital
resources.
- Changing
settings or display is not allowed.
- Installation/uninstallation
of software is prohibited.
- Do
not unplug cables, network connections, or peripherals.
- Personal
devices (keyboard, mouse, etc.) are not allowed.
- Users
are responsible for personal belongings (pen drives, CDs/DVDs, mobiles,
wallets, etc.).
- Books
will be issued between 9:15 AM – 4:40 PM.
- New arrivals will be displayed for one month and may be
reserved but not issued during that period.
- The
librarian may recall issued items at any time.
- Online
chatting, social media, gaming, and non-academic browsing are prohibited.
Offenders will face disciplinary action.
- Laptop
users must sit in the designated area.
